Smooth electro-groovster Evan Voytas strongly believes in the power of meditation, and you’d better believe it after watching the video for his new track “Disappear Into The Stars.” Bright pastel colors, beautiful women, and dimension-shifting space exploration endlessly swirl around the blue-suited mastermind, and he doesn’t even flinch once. You have to be one cool cucumber to do that.

Strange a reaction as that may be, his relaxed stance (head cocked slightly to the left) along with the hypnotizing visuals makes sense in accompanying the song, an understated, mesmerizing bit of throwback falsetto pop with a peculiar, sideways point of view. Catchy and fun, but kinda weird.

Henry Pincus (doing his best impression of Michael Bay taking over a David Lynch movie) directed the video, which marks Voytas’s return to the scene after a few years absence. Everything seems in tip-top shape, however, despite the hiatus. Bring on the full-length, Evan.
