You make a lot of mismatched comparisons when trying to describe indie rock oddballs Ava Luna. Take, for example, “Steve Polyester,” a quirky track from their third LP Infinite House that’s equal parts spoken word, cabaret, and Sesame Street. The song’s visual accompaniment, animated by Angela Stempel, is set in the same strange universe as the band’s music, taking cues from the imagination of Dr. Seuss and the grotesque stylings of The Ren & Stimpy Show.
