The new video for Nick Waterhouse’s “Sleeping Pills” (off his new album Holly) will either make you nostalgic for the heady glory days of your teenage years or remind you how glad you are that those awkward days are long gone.

Set to the backdrop of vaguely tropical conga rhythms and breezy backing vocals, “Sleeping Pills” captures the cool, retro vibe of a Mad Men house party. The video, which premiered on GQ today, tells a classic story of teen rebellion—waking up in a post-party daze, wasting time with your friends, sneaking into bars and just generally feeling too cool for your small town. It’s the perfect soundtrack to a night of drunken shimmying and failed attempts at flirting.
