Unlikely rock star/Viceroy spokesperson/Jimmy Buffett enthusiast Mac DeMarco has seemingly been on tour playing Limp Bizkit covers for eight years now, but somehow in the few months since Salad Days came out last year, the twangy Brooklynite has found some time at home to put together a new collection of tunes, this one an eight song “mini-LP” called Another One.
That release will come out in the dead of summer, August 7, and following a predictably wacky teaser video, DeMarco has now shared “The Way You’d Love Her,” a no-frills, no-chaser shot of mellowed-out porch rock, complete with what has to be the corniest guitar solo he’s ever laid down.
Apparently not interested in taking a break anytime soon, DeMarco has also announced an extension of his current tour that will follow a few stops at summer festivals, including FYF in Los Angeles. All new North American dates are below—we’ll keep you posted if he announces a show at a Margaritaville restaurant.
