2015. Bjork, “Stonemilker” video

It’s been almost half a year since Björk released Vulnicura, but the power of the multi-talented artist’s ninth full-length continues to radiate throughout speakers and headphones around the globe. Today, in true Björk fashion, she released a beautiful and technologically advanced music video for “Stonemilker.”

Beyond showing Björk’s awe-inspiring homeland of Iceland (Beach Island, to be specific), her video for the Vulnicura opener was created specifically for the wearable virtual reality device Oculus Rift.

The video, which was created by virtual reality studio VRSE, first premiered at MoMa’s Björk retrospective with the headset available for visitors to use and experience. Thanks to the power of YouTube, you no longer have to go to New York (or Iceland, for that matter) to immerse yourself in the video’s setting. Watch the video below, and click and drag to explore the Icelandic coast.

Vulnicura is out now via One Little Indian.
