Brooklyn trio Lazyeyes rang in 2015 with their New Year EP and have since spent their time honing their reverbed-out, jangle-rock sound in preparation of a North American tour that kicks off next month.
To mark the occasion, the group has prepped a limited-edition split cassette with tour mates The Teen Age, from which we now have the Lazyeyes track “Fractals.” It’s a space-y choogler of a tune that’s layered with gentle dueling vocal and guitar melodies and anchored by a rhythm section that vibes like a sure-handed captain on deck during a storm.
If you’re in the East Coast or Midwest, you can go down the psych-pop vortex with Lazyeyes starting in Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania, on July 18. Until then, your iTunes Visualizer will have to suffice.
