Is there anything worse than being stuck at a social function when you’re really hungry? While most people would say, “Yes, absolutely. So much is worse. Namely: dying,” the stars of Hulu‘s new television series Difficult People would argue otherwise. At least, that’s how they come across in the first trailer for the Amy Poehler-produced comedy.

In the show, Billy Eichner (Billy on the Street) and Julie Klausner (Mulaney) star as two assholes friends living in New York City who seem to find themselves with chronic foot-in-mouth disease due to their, let’s say unique, world view.

The eight-episode series will premiere with two installments on August 5, with new episodes coming on successive Wednesdays. Empathetic watchers, beware!
