The ever-animated Jack Black plays famed children’s horror author R. L. Stine in the upcoming  Goosebumps movie, which is based on Stine’s famous series.

In the new trailer, a group of kids accidentally unleash every monster in Stine’s body of work, and, with the help of the author, try to keep the beasts from destroying their city, Rampage style.

Black stopped by Good Morning America to share a clip of the trailer and chat with George Stephanopoulos about the film, his kids, and the late Jerry Weintraub, with whom Black worked on HBO‘s The Brink.

Check out the trailer below, and let the creepy nostalgia wash over you.

Goosebumps hits the big screen on October 16th.
