A few months ago, Sherlock co-creator Steven Moffat confirmed that a special episode of the show was in the works, during which the series’ protagonists would travel back in time to the Victorian era. Now, BBC has released a sneak preview of the 19th century special, which is set to air this Christmas.

The clip features Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and his ever-present sidekick Dr. Watson (Martin Freeman) transported back to the time period of their origins in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s mystery novels. Holmes wears a deerstalker, Watson has a funny mustache, there are horse-drawn carriages—you can’t get more turn-of-the-century than that.

Get ready for some good old-fashioned murder mystery fun and check out the sneak peek below.

The special precedes Sherlock’s fourth season, which will premiere in 2017.
