On his debut LP, Seraph, Mas Ysa—né Thomas Arsenault—demonstrates that he “fully believes in the power of the beat to convey an extreme level of sincerity,” as we put it in our review. Along with director Kris Moyes, Arsenault has translated that same power into his first music video, for Seraph standout “Margarita.”
Shot across several locations on Hawaii’s Big Island, the video finds a woman mourning the loss of her beloved while Arsenault roams in the landscape, singing his lamentation in an all-white jumpsuit like some kind of all-seeing hip-hop angel. Take a look for yourself below.
