Generally speaking, the closest thing that the Bay Area has to a summer tends to hit sometime in late September/early October. No one knows that more than the Emeryville–based CLIF Bar, and to take advantage of the (hopefully) great weather, they’ve put together a day-long, multi-medium festival event called CykelScramble at the Marin County Fairgrounds on September 26.
The main event is a bicycle relay race—one bike, four members per team—but there’s a whole bunch else going on, including performances from Cold War Kids and Geographer, in addition to food trucks and a beer garden. Best of all? The whole shindig is free, and open to the whole family.
