Son Little is Aaron Livingston, a musician whose resume includes collaborations with The Roots, RJD2, and production credits on the legendary Mavis Staples’ recent EP. Ahead of his self-titled debut album, out October 16, Son Little has shared the video for the intimate, soulful standout “Lay Down.”
“I wrote this song lying in bed with my lady, listening to the tea kettle whistle,” Son Little said in a press release. “I think about how complicated our lives are, all the ones and zeros distract us from what we really need and want. Sometimes I just want to take your love and hide.”
