For Stephen Hawking’s “Ask Me Anything” session on Redditone of the biggest installments in the wildly popular celebrity interview series (which is really saying something given the breadth of previous participants, from Bill Gates to President Obama to The One)—the process was a little unconventional.

Because of the understandable restrictions to Hawking just being able to kick back and chat on the web, questions for his AMA were asked in advance back in July. Since that time, a select few were chosen, and the subject of The Theory of Everything carefully constructed his answers, which have been shared today on the science subreddit.

The overall output is somewhat slim, but the questions chosen reflect a range of various interests, and all the answers from Hawking are thoughtful and full of unique insight (well, except for the one where he pretends not to remember that time that he watched five minutes of Wayne’s World 2 in a video store).

You can read the whole thing (and begin to fear AI from a completely new perspective) here.
