After teasing us for over a year with the promise of new music, Grimes is suddenly drowning us in it. On Monday, she dropped a double video for “Flesh, Without Blood” and “Life in the Vivid Dream,” and last night, she released a third single from the album: “SCREAM.”
The track, which is built on a carnival beat and strung together with ropes of electric guitar, features the Taiwanese rapper Aristophenes. Combined with the centrist-leaning pop of the first two singles, it suggests that Art Angels might be a brighter, more accessible listen than its predecessor, 2012’s Visions.
