Mount Moriah

North Carolina-based alt-country group Mount Moriah have shared a new song ahead of their third album, How to Dance. The new track, “Cardinal Cross,” is a swinging piece of Americana blues rock that prominently displays singer Heather McEntire’s haunting voice.

With How to Dance, Mount Moriah “presents new themes of symbolism, mysticism, alchemy, universality, sacred geometry,” according to a press release. Where previous albums focused on personal narrative, How to Dance promises to address “mythic experiences and cross-cultural archetypes,” which leads us to believe that title ain’t exactly a promise to teach you how to two-step. You can listen to “Cardinal Cross” below.
