A Tribe Called Quest first broke up in 1998 following the release of The Love Movement, but in 2004 the hip-hop legends got back together, after which they played intermittently (without releasing any new music) until 2013, when Q-Tip announced that their opening spots for Kanye West were to be the group’s final performances “ever.”

Tip didn’t really mean that though (thank god), because last Friday, in celebration of the reissue release of their classic debut People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, the group reunited for their first television performance in fifteen years to perform “Can I Kick It?” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. So far, the late night spot hasn’t been tied to any further music or performances (and when questioned in their recent Reddit AMA, there was nothing but silence), but it’s a good sign, anyway, that all four original members are on good terms, and that Phife Dawg, who suffers from diabetes, is doing well.

Check out the performance below.
