DIIV has released another new track from their upcoming sophomore album Is the Is Are. “Mire (Grant’s Song)” is a darker, more challenging take on the group’s usual brand of gauzy guitar-driven dream pop, with sputtering free jazz drums in the second verse and a watery Nirvana-flavored outro. Not sure who Grant is, but he sounds like a more brooding individual than Roi.

Is the Is Are is out February 5 on Captured Tracks.
