Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny screencap.

Today, Netflix released the first trailer for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, the sequel to Ang Lee’s Oscar-winning film from 2000. The new installment of the martial arts franchise will be released on both Netflix and in select IMAX theaters on February 26, 2016, fifteen years after the first film.

Michelle Yeoh returns as reluctant warrior Yu Shu Lien and is joined by Glee‘s Harry Shum Jr. and martial artist/action star Donnie Yen.

The script for Sword of Destiny is adapted from the Du Lu Wang novel Iron Knight, Silver Vase, one in a series of books that includes the source text for the original film. Replacing Ang Lee as director is Yuen Woo-Ping, who worked as a fight choreographer on The Matrix and Kill Bill franchises. Check out some of his signature gravity-defying action sequences in the trailer below.
