For most, January is just another month filled with knit hats, bulky sweaters, and big coats. But for the fashion world, spring has already sprung by the time the ball drops for the new year. Yesterday, Louis Vuitton unveiled its first ads for its Spring/Summer 2016 line featuring a new face in the world of womenswear modeling—Jaden Smith.

The French luxury fashion house announced Smith’s (son of Will and Jada, and brother of Willow) inclusion in the new campaign via Nicolas Ghesquière’s (LV’s creative director) Instagram. In the first images released—shot by legendary fashion photographer Bruce Weber—Smith dons a new skirt, woven top, and leather jacket by the brand. His inclusion in the photos seem natural in the context of Louis Vuitton’s desired aesthetic and marketing for younger fashionistas, his penchant for out-of-the-box fashion choices, and the more inclusive and gender fluid stance that many brands are taking on the runway.
