There was a time when VHS tapes ruled the world, holding the entire human race in the palm of their plastic hands as they decided when they would make your precious memories and favorite videos fall apart, literally. Before a tape met its demise, it would cry out for help in the form of wobbly and distorted footage. Canadian punk trio METZ‘s latest music video chaotically depicts this last gasp for help from technology from decades past.
Underneath the confusing and garbled imagery, “Eraser” is a burst of tight bass lines and rapid-fire percussion with one very easy-to-remember chorus. Hear the track and reminisce about the unforgettable moments that your VCR ate by watching the video below.
