Wolf Parade reunion

Ah, the indefinite hiatus: no longer coded language for a breakup. Wolf Parade have been on hold for five years after touring behind 2010’s Expo 68, and the band’s members have spent the ensuing years working on other projects: Spencer Krug put out records with Moonface and Dan Boeckner hooked up with Spoon’s Britt Daniel for Divine Fits.

Now, the band have announced a run of residency shows in New York, Toronto, and London going down in May and June of this year. There’s no word yet on what else will follow, but if nothing else, it’s good to hear the martial crack of “I’ll Believe in Anything”‘s opening seconds in the teaser video the band has released ahead of those shows. You can see the trailer below, as well as the residency dates and a helpful beginner’s video guide to the band put together by their label, Sub Pop, below.

Wolf Parade residency dates

May 17–21 – New York, NY – Bowery Ballroom
May 24–26 – Toronto, ON – Lee’s Palace
June 14, 15 – London, UK – Scala
