Bonnie Prince Billy “When Thy Song Flows Through Me” video

Tomorrow, Bonnie “Prince” Billy will release Pond Scum, a compilation of performances taken from BBC’s Peel Sessions. Ahead of that release, the man born Will Oldham has released a video for album cut “When Thy Song Flows Through Me.” It’s a gentle, meditative video consisting mostly of patient landscape shots (and a minor callout to American Beauty—you’ll get it, it’s the most beautiful thing you’ll ever see).

It’s a fitting clip for the song, which was inspired by a devotional chant by the Indian guru Paramahansa Yogananda. The track originally appeared on Oldham’s 1998 EP Blue Lotus Feet, and the session that this cut was taken from was recorded in 2001. You can check it out below.
