Martin Scorsese and co-director David Tedeschi are premiering their brand-new documentary about the New York Review of Books on September 29 on HBO. According to Variety, The 50 Year Argument follows the history of the cultural institution through a variety of interviews and stories behind the Review’s pieces from past and present NYRB contributors. The documentary looks to be an inside, and in depth, portrayal of an iconic publication that has played such a great part in literary circles, and has remained intact even as the role of print media begins to shift.

The 50 Year Argument will air on HBO on Monday, September 29 at 9 p.m.
