We’ve been having fun all summer long, as our buds from down in Hawthorne once sang, but the season is about to hit its peak, and we’re ready to bring the FLOOD roadshow to the midwest for FLOODfest Chicago. RSVP for the get-down here.
On Saturday, August 5, we’ll be holding court at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel—that’d be Stagg Court, the parquet-floored basketball spot on the building’s fourth floor. Gus alt-J and Flint Eastwood will be keeping the room warm with DJ sets, while FLOODfest Austin alum (and FLOOD 3 subject) Grace Mitchell will work the crowd with cuts from her forthcoming debut record. North Carolina’s finest electro-popsters, Sylvan Esso, will cap the night and, we feel like it’s safe to assume, ruin everyone’s Sunday morning plans. (You can sleep when the summer’s over!)
Naturally, it’s no kind of party without drinks, so the good folks at Deep Eddy will be pouring vodka, while Stumptown will be on hand with cold brew to keep you going ’til the wee dark hours.
