Take a look around you: Can you see spring, with its schizophrenic mornings and drenched afternoons? Do you see fall, with its changing leaves and mothy sweaters? Hell no. All around us there’s nothing but sweet, sweet summer.

As you might have noticed, we’re big fans of festivals: music festivals, film festivals, food festivals, political festivals. And now that we’re running up to the longest, loudest shindig of the summer at Lollapalooza, we figured the time was right to go all in. So for this week, we’ll be taking on summer festivals from every which angle: telling you which under-the-radar bands to catch, how to look your best on site, and where to eat after the shows let out.

Oh yeah, and we’ll be capping it IRL with a lil’ fest of our own, going down this Saturday at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel, where Sylvan Esso, Grace Mitchell, Gus alt-J, and Flint Eastwood will be keeping the lights shining deep into the night.

So, to paraphrase Lakeside (or Coolio, depending on how you look at it), come on along and ride on our fantastic voyage. Click here for our coverage, and make sure to check back all week as we add more.
