Our girl Janelle Monáe—style icon, actress, activist, and singer-songwriter—is still supporting her knockout third solo album, Dirty Computer, which made our Best Albums of 2018 list mid-year (and who knows about our upcoming end of year list…stay tuned).

She’ll also be on tonight’s episode of Austin City Limits (ACL), making her debut with an eight-song set at 8 p.m. CT/9 p.m. ET on PBS stations nationwide. But if you can’t wait that long, we’ve got a bonus web exclusive (that won’t be on the episode) for ya right now. Singing the track from her second record Electric Lady with a four-woman dance team decked out in their bandleader’s signature black and white (with several pops of red), Janelle imbues her girl-power anthem with fresh exuberance and joy.
