In case you didn’t notice from the album trailer, things are starting to get pretty personal for Father John Misty in advance of his second album, I Love You, Honeybear. Following one of those “When do we clap?” performances of “Bored in the USA” on Letterman, the former Fleet Foxes drummer has now released the music video for “Chateau Lobby #4 (in C for Two Virgins).”

According to FJM, the original idea for the video involved a kitten wedding, over which he would preside while lip-synching along to the song. However, partially due to the high prices of kitten wranglers (not even joking), that idea was aborted. Instead, the video is a whirlwind look into the lives of Josh Tillman and his wife, Emma. Of the jointly-directed effort, Tillman explains, “I made it on an iPad on my wedding anniversary with the one I love. We ate pancakes.”

That they did.
