Together Pangea is in a mellow kind of mood.

The Los Angeles trio is gearing up to release their latest EP, Dispassionate, on May 31. In the meantime, they’ve shared the song “Bet You Wish I Would Call,” a chilled-out throwback track ideal for beach hangs and backyard get-togethers.

“These new songs are kind of the opposite of the last batch,” mused singer William Keegan in a press statement. “They are calmer and self-reflective, and the style is influenced by the ’50s and ’60s revival that happened in the ’80s. ‘Bet You Wish I Would Call’ is a ’60s pop-influenced song with stream-of-consciousness lyrics that are meant to be comforting. It’s a song that you can listen to while drinking iced tea by the pool and taking it easy. I wanted to write something a little more positive.”

Grab some tea, cue up “Bet You Wish I Would Call,” and dream of summer below.
