Daft Punk, 2014, Alive limited edition boxset.

There’s a reason why people want to see Daft Punk headlining every festival possible. Their insane live shows are a worthy experience and any chance to watch them should be taken. But of course, those opportunities are few and far between and in those times when they aren’t touring (read: most of the time), you can now turn to the next best thing.

In 2007, the duo released Alive 2007, a recording of their live performance at Bercy, France, earlier that year during the “pyramid tour.” Previously only available on CD and digital formats, now Daft is releasing 2007 as double vinyl and a limited-edition box set. Their previous Alive recording, dubbed appropriately Alive 1997 is also part of the 2007  box set, but will also be available separately.

As you see above, the 2007 box set has some pretty nice goodies that come with it, including two solid white vinyls, the bonus vinyl of 1997, a fifty-two-page book with photos of their live shows, a slipmat, and a download card. Are you drooling yet? In case you need a reminder of how amazing Daft Punk is, watch the video of “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger” from the Alive 2007 tour below!

Alive 2007 and 1997 will be out on December 23 on Warner, so if you need a last-minute gift, any Daft Punk fan would probably love this. Pre-order this awesomeness at Amazon now.
