Seattle-based hip-hop collective Shabazz Palaces have shared the second single from their upcoming album and it’s a bass-heavy, new black wave track infused with glitchy of interplanetary elements.

“#CAKE” is just a taste of how Shabazz Palaces has experimented in expanding their sonic vernacular on their second album, titled Lese Majesty. The collective is paving a path for new black wave music by melding classic hip-hop beats with often-disjointed synth, providing a significantly more layered offering to the genre.

The double-vinyl version for Lese Majesty comes in a “shark skin” embossed jacket and come with a fold-out poster and a sweet etching on side D. Preorders from Sub Pop come with the limited edition “Loser” purple vinyl version with a 7” of exclusive tracks.

Lese Majesty is available via Sup Pop, iTunes and Amazon July 29.
