Teen Body‘s gorgeous new album Dreamo really is the place where emo meets dream pop.

The name of the Brooklyn band’s latest long-player was coined by a friend looking to describe the outfit’s sound, and it’s wholly appropriate. Shimmering guitars and Shannon Lee’s melodic and textured vocals set a languid pace across Dreamo‘s immersive landscape.

Echoes of alt-rock legends Eric’s Trip, Slowdive, and Galaxie 500 permeate the lush, college-radio-at-three-a.m. crackle of the album. The one-two opening pillow-punch of “Fell Off” and “Act Yr Age”  herald the easy, breezy ride down shoegaze lane that follows.

Summer vibes are strong with Dreamo, an ideal soundtrack for warm weather adventures and poolside contemplations. Dig into all eight tracks now before the album hits streaming services and retailers this Friday via Broken Circles Records.
