The voice of Clementine Creevy, a.k.a. the frontwoman of Los Angeles trio Cherry Glazerr, has had the distinct honor of being remixed by Reggie Watts.

“Daddi,” the lead single off the band’s fourth LP Stuffed & Ready, was released earlier this year via Secretly Canadian—and Mr. Watts was clearly a fan. Now, he’s added some twitchy beats to the track, rendering it instantly fit for da club.

“Daddi” is a sort of kiss-off to the looming patriarchy: “What should I cook daddy? / What should I say? / What should I do? / Is it okay with you?” Creevy sings sarcastically—though ultimately, the song ends on a note of earnest defiance: “Don’t hold my hand / Don’t be my man,” Creevy tells a nameless, faceless masculine presence.

Listen to the remixed track and see the band’s upcoming tour dates below.
