Without giving anything away in case you haven’t yet binged the entire thing, an important set piece in Stranger Things season three is an ice cream parlor called Scoops Ahoy at the Starcourt Mall in fictional Hawkins, Indiana. Now, an opportunistic Baskin-Robbins in Burbank is takin’ it all the way back to 1985.
Netflix has partnered with the chain to transform an LA location into a Scoops Ahoy for two weeks following the show’s premiere—so hurry up, this thing will only be up for another week! While you won’t find sexy Steve and his magnificent head of hair serving you sundaes and/or hitting on you, you will find employees in sailor-inspired uniforms like the one he and Robin wear on the show.
Baskin-Robbins is offering numerous specialty items based on the series, including the Upside Down and Demogorgon sundaes, plus the Elevenade Freeze. A recent Stranger Things event at the Santa Monica Pier had wait times several hours long, which was a bummer for fans—but unless you have a super annoying friend who can’t decide between rainbow and chocolate sprinkles, no one can take that long ordering ice cream.
The new season of Stranger Things is now streaming on Netflix. Visit the Baskin-Robbins where it’s all going down at 1201 South Victory Blvd., Burbank until July 14.
