Nas’s previously unreleased track “Jarreau of Rap (Skatt Attack)” features Al Jarreau and trumpeter Keyon Harrold and comes off his compilation The Lost Tapes 2, out July 19. It pays tribute to Jarreau himself, whose version of Dave Brubeck’s “(Round, Round, Round) Blue Rondo à la Turk” is sampled on the song. Listen to it below.
The Lost Tapes 2 is a collection of unreleased tracks from Nas’ previous four albums, including Hip-Hop is Dead (2006), Untitled (2008), Life is Good (2012), and last year’s Nasir. The first installment of Lost Tapes came out seventeen years ago, and the production credits this time around include Swizz Beatz, Pharrell, RZA, Hit-Boy, Pete Rock, the Alchemist, No I.D., and Kanye West.
