Experimental piano rocker Marco Benevento has a new record coming this fall and a new track out today, featuring guest vocals from bass virtuoso Karina Rykman. “Say It’s All the Same” promotes a message that resonates throughout the entirety of Let It Slide: that being yourself will lead to feeling fine and free.

“It’s a sweet, easy summer time dance track that’ll have you feelin’ good in no time…like a bouquet of fresh cut flowers,” says Benevento of the track. In the vaguely trippy music video, the band wears sunglasses indoors and whistle while they jam. Watch it below.

With Slide, Marco relinquished studio control for the first time to work with producer Leon Michels (Adele, Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga). That allowed him to focus more on lyrics and vocals—he claims to have been inspired by Can, ESG, Childish Gambino, and Mulatu Astatke this time around—plus experiment more with sounds and textures; he even coated piano strings in gaffer tape, leading to the album’s muted tone.

Let It Slide is out September 20 via Royal Potato Family. You can pre-order it here.
