This Thursday Is Maisel Day in LA

Return to the low, low prices of 1959 in celebration of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”

August 13, 2019

Hello Deli: Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) and Susie (Alex Borstein) nosh and schmooze in Season 2 of Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Ah, 1950s America: Poodle skirts, sock hops, Elvis Presley, James Dean. A golden era.

OK, so not everything was peachy keen in the ’50s. But you’ve got to admit, stuff was a whole lot cheaper. So this Thursday, August 15, some of Los Angeles’ most iconic bakeries, theaters, delis, and more are hearkening back to simpler times as part of a city-wide promotion in honor of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Amazon Prime’s Mrs. Maisel is no stranger to unique marketing strategies; back in June, they partnered with Postmates to give away Maisel-inspired lunches. Now, the show’s extensive Emmy campaign includes teaming up with retailers to provide retro prices for certain products/services.

The promo will include hair salons like DryBar ($2 for a Mrs. Maisel look), delish fast food like Mel’s Drive-In (you can get a Melburger with fries for 50 cents), and hotels like the Hollywood Roosevelt ($40 for a one-night stay).

Maisel Day is this Thursday, Aug. 15. For more details about prices and participating locations, check out the list below or visit MaiselDay.com. All deals are walk-in only and subject to availability.
