Dream-pop-via-emo ensemble Turnover have just announced their fourth full-length, Altogether, succeeding 2017’s Good Nature with a continued development away from their pop punk roots. Rather than resuming in the direction of dreamy jangle pop, though, the trio are experimenting with entirely new genres, as evinced by two new singles from the album, the neo-psychedelic “Much After Feeling” and the new-wavy “Plant Sugar.” With a press release promising additional forays into jazz, funk, and Britpop, it sounds like the album has something for everyone.
The former also arrives with a Jennifer Stratford-directed video—an aptly psychedelic clip with a VHS aesthetic. Watch the video and stream “Plant Sugar” below, and note the band’s imminent U.S./UK tour through December.
Altogether drops November 1 via Run for Cover. You can pre-order it here.
