When Swervedriver performed a new song on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon a couple of years ago, it came as a big (and pleasant) surprise to long-time fans of the band, who had gone more than fourteen years without hearing anything new.
At the end of 2013, a studio version of that song, “Deep Wound,” was released along with the news that a full-length release was on the way in the next year. They came up just a tad behind schedule on that, but no complaining here: I Wasn’t Born to Lose You, the band’s first LP since 1998’s 99th Dream, will be out in March 3 via Cobraside in the U.S.
