And The Winners Are: 2015 Golden Globes Edition

Winners from last night include BoyhoodBirdmanThe Grand Budapest HotelTransparentJane the Virgin, and The Affair.

The 72nd Golden Globes have come and gone, and as usual there were upsets and surprises in both the film and television categories. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey were flawless hosts, making us wonder why they ever bother hiring anyone else to do the job. Opening with a monologue full of the requisite zingers at the expense of fellow celebrities (the Bill Cosby controversy, North Korea versus The Interview, and Wes Anderson‘s twee sensibilities made fodder for some excellent jokes), the night went smoothly as the winners for Best Motion Picture (Boyhood for Drama and The Grand Budapest Hotel for Comedy or Musical) and Best Television Series (The Affair for Drama and Transparent for Comedy or Musical) were announced.
