Power California’s Our Future Fest is a music, art, and action event geared toward young people who are passionate about the future of their communities, planet, and our country’s democracy. The day-long event will take place starting at noon on Sunday, November 10 at La Plaza de Cultura y Artes in Downtown Los Angeles, and is free to all with pre-reserved tickets.

The musical lineup includes Kid Ink and Joyner Lucas with Kendrick Sampson (The Flash, Vampire Diaries, Insecure) and Yesi Ortiz (97.1 AMP Radio) as MCs, and guest speakers Edna Chavez (March For Our Lives), Thomas Lopez (International Indigenous Youth Council), and Alyesha Wise (Spoken Literature Art Movement).

The fest will also feature screen-printing, art-making, voter registration, health and wellness activities, and food trucks (duh, it’s LA). Your ticket additionally gets you complimentary entrance to La Plaza Museum, where you can see two art installations centered around the Mexican American/Chicanx history of resistance.

With the 2020 election fast approaching, Power California’s Our Future Fest “seeks to harness the energy of young voters of color and their families to create a state that is equitable, inclusive, and just for everyone who calls California home.”
