Illuminati Hotties

Illuminati Hotties recently finished up fall tour dates with PUP and spring tour dates with American Football, all in support of their debut album Kiss Yr Frenemies. They also released a track back in March called “I Wanna Keep Yr Dog,” and now the indie LA outfit is back with a brand new single called “ppl plzr,” on which frontwoman Sarah Tudzin sings plaintively, “Guess I am the lesser man / Guess I am the drugstore brand / But I still work hard plus I’m cheaper / If it matters, people pleaser.”

Of the pop-rock track, Tudzin said in a press release, “What matters most about making art to me is expressing raw emotion through your medium at the pace that you’re feeling it. Although I’m not yet ready to walk you down the path of an album cycle, I AM feeling a moment. I have something to say about it, and I want to do that now while it feels most visceral in the hopes that you will be open to experiencing emotions with me in real time. “ppl plzr” was created a couple weeks ago, in a vacuum, at 4:30 a.m., and the deluge of three delirious days that followed. Everything happened so quickly, and I couldn’t let it burn a hole in my hard drive for much longer.”

At the moment, the single is only available via Bandcamp. You can pay what you want for it, and all proceeds go to The Trevor Project, an organization dedicated to suicide prevention and providing services to LGBTQ youth.
