Unpredictable actor Shia LaBeouf wrote the screenplay to Alma Har’el’s film Honey Boy based on his own life, detailing the messy relationship he had with his father—a role LaBeouf himself takes on in the film—and his troubles with child stardom, addiction, and the law. The movie also stars Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place) and Lucas Hedges (Manchester by the Sea, Boy Erased) as LaBeouf at two different ages, plus FKA twigs in her first feature role as young LaBeouf’s neighbor.

If this sounds like something you’d be into, you’re in luck: we are sponsoring a bunch of upcoming Honey Boy screenings, and you can get free passes now. The FLOOD-sponsored screenings begin on November 7 in eleven cities total, including Washington, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, Cambridge, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia, Saint Louis Park, and Austin.
