Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard has followed his musical muse from one band to another. Just weeks after Calpurnia announced that they were breaking up after a three-year run, Wolfhard is part of a new outfit.

The lucky band who now count Wolfhard among their members? The Aubreys. Their first official song, “Getting Better (otherwise),” is set to debut on the soundtrack of horror flick The Turning, which hits screens on January 24, 2020. Watch the creepy trailer below.

The movie’s director, Floria Sigismondi, wanted the soundtrack to have a ’90s rock vibe (think The Crow and Romeo + Juliet), resulting in a playlist featuring Soccer Mommy, Mitski, Vagabon, Courtney Love, and more alongside The Aubreys. The soundtrack arrives on the same date as the movie (January 24).

For a taste of The Aubrey’s jangle-heavy throwback indie rock, check out the band’s demos below.
