PVRIS dropped their latest EP—and their first release for Warner Records—back in October, but today the alt-pop trio is bringing the album’s closer to life with a surreal visual. “Old Wounds” is the dramatic final song on the group’s major-label debut, and the video certainly doesn’t fall short of its soundtrack’s epic range.

The video opens with a pair of alien figures peeling back each other’s bright red exteriors to reveal a shiny, silver layer of skin beneath, ultimately exchanging crowns in the vid’s dramatic finale—it’s an obvious metaphor, but powerful imagery nonetheless.

With the promise of a full-length dropping in the spring, tide yourself over with the video below.
