TMZ has reported this morning that up-and-coming East Coast rapper Pop Smoke passed away last night at the age of 20. According to law enforcement, the rapper was murdered in a home invasion that occurred around 4:30 a.m. at his Hollywood Hills home after what was presumed to be a house party at his home. At this time there are still no suspects.

Less than a month ago, Smoke dropped his second mixtape, Meet the Woo, Vol. 2, which featured Quavo and A Boogie, among others, as well as his standout single “Christopher Walking.” The mixtape follows last year’s breakout single “Welcome to the Party,” which saw remixes featuring Nicki Minaj and Skepta.

These artists, among many others, have taken to social media to express their grief at the loss of a close friend and talented collaborator. You can view some of those below.

The Bible tells us that jealousy is as cruel as the grave. Unbelievable. Rest In Peace, Pop.
