After releasing one of the strongest debuts of the past decade and penning a rock opera about going back to school, Brian and Michael D’Addario are returning with their third LP as The Lemon Twigs. The self-produced Songs for the General Public will drop May 1 via their longtime home of 4AD, and with this news comes a video for the album’s first single, “The One.”

Continuing to flirt with first-generation psychedelic pop and over-the-top glam guitar-rock, the duo’s new single and its accompanying video feel directly lifted from the ’70s. Much as the duo infiltrates the general public with their infectious riffs, the clip sees Brian and Michael slapping campaign posters for “The One” across New York, either writing in Keanu Reeves for the 2020 presidential race or, more likely, promoting their excellent new single.
