2015. Interpol, “Everything Is Wrong” music video still

Most rock stars have limos, private cars, or tour busses shuttle them to and from each gig. It’s common knowledge that the average experience of touring starts to become the repetitive views of: car window, plane window, and the venue you’re playing that night. Leave it to indie-rock mainstays Interpol to shake up the dynamic with a video documenting how each member gets themselves to a recent show.

In the black-and-white (classic Interpol) music video for “Everything Is Wrong”—a track off of last fall’s El Pintor—viewers get to see what the trio really does before playing to thousands of fans each night including Paul Bank’s journey—gambling in the street and bumping jams—in casual track clothes (with boxer Jason Lee as his personal bodyguard), Sam Fogarino’s meet-cute encounter with a beautiful woman thanks to a precious French bulldog, and Daniel Kessler’s good samaritan act of helping an old lady across the street.

Watch the video directed by Banks and Carlos Puga now, and look for where you can see Interpol live (including this year’s Coachella) below.
