Although Jimmy Kimmel and most of Grouplove are currently in Los Angeles, the indie rockers’ scheduled performance for Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night went down from several different locations. With the quarantine still in full effect, Kimmel announced the band as performing a special social distance performance, with each of the group’s five members playing their song “Deleter” from the respective homes they’re holed up in in LA and Atlanta.

This sounds like a recipe for disaster, but the “Grouplove group chat,” as Kimmel calls it, is perfectly synced, the band sounding like they’re all on the stage together. They even make room in the video chat for a sixth window, which is occupied by someone wearing a paper mache mask of the face found on the cover of the band’s latest album Healer, which was painted by vocalist Hannah Hooper.

Check out the clip below, and read up on Healer with our recent profile of the band.
