Some of the members of Radiohead have been pretty busy in the last few years with their own side projects. With Thom Yorke’s Atoms For Peace, and Philip Selway releasing Weatherhouse in October, there’s been a bit of a lull in Radiohead news. Yet recently, there have been whispers and hints of something brewing in the background, and the latest update of the band’s PolyFauna app just adds more anticipation. As The Guardian points out, this update is the first new bit of music we’ve heard from the band in three years.

Just a refresher for all you Radiohead fans out there, PolyFauna is the collaborative project app with producer Nigel Godrich, and developers Universal Everything, that the band released for smartphones and tablets earlier this year. It provided listeners with an interactive experience full of immersive visuals that users could explore while the group’s 2011 album, The Kings of Limbs played. Now they’ve expanded on the app by adding new visuals to go along with brand new music and unreleased vocals by Thom Yorke.

There’s no solid word of when an official new single or album (or anything) will be out, but we’ll take this for now. We just hope it won’t be years until we get something new again. In case you don’t have PolyFauna on your smartphone already, it is available for Android, iPhone, and iPad. Download it now so you don’t miss anything else they might update!
