If you thought Lightning Bolt playing their last ever set at Death By Audio in New York might have seemed a bit eulogistic, have no fear: all of the sudden, the band has a big year ahead of them with a new album, Fantasy Empire, due out in March.
The follow-up to 2012’s Oblivion Hunter EP—and first LP since 2009’s Earthly Delights—found the group in a professional studio for the first time in their career, a move they jokingly called “a desperate act.” But knowing them, there should be nothing to worry about.
No new tunes have been released as of yet, but that’s the album cover and tracklist below.
